About Fremantle WA

Fremantle was established in 1829 and became the first port in Australia for many immigrants. Located at the mouth of the Swan River, Fremantle is known for its arts, culture, diversity and a strong sense of community. The Fremantle history is captured and recreated by locals using the historic buildings for their businesses in order to bring them back to life. Tours of the Fremantle Goal, the historic Round House, the Army Museum and more are available.
