Thursday evening is an opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues and sample the food and atmosphere of Freo. You can either arrange something with friends and colleagues or if you like meet up at an informal get together late afternoon to touch base with other delegates and make arrangements to kick on for dinner.

Walk across the park outside the Esplanade Hotel, then cross the railway and walk to the left. If you come to a road that crosses the railway, you’ve gone too far! From The Quest walk along Mews Road past the restaurants on Fishing Boat Harbour.
Dining Suggestions
There are two main areas for restaurants: South Terrace and Fishing Boat Harbour.
The South Terrace Cappuccino Strip:
There are stacks of restaurants on South Terrace and its side streets. It is best to walk around and choose. However some are very popular and you may need to book for the peak dining times.
Maya Indian
Considered the benchmark for Indian food in Perth. People swarm there for butter chicken.

Clancy’s Fish Pub
A family friendly restaurant area with a nice vibe to it and also has good live bands Friday nights. A bit away from the strip, 5 minutes walk at 51 Cantonment Street.
Fishing Boat Harbour Area
Cicerellos is a Freo institution and with a waterfront location. It is very casual (the tables are laminex). Good place for a quick and tasty fishmeal – just join the queue for a table Kailis’ is a very similar, and almost next door. Other harbour restaurants are Little Creatures, Char-Char Bull and Joe’s Fish Shack.

located on the Swan River at Riverside Road East Fremantle.
The upstairs restaurant is good and the pub is extremely popular.
